Step-by-step

Check the date, zone and booking page.

  1. Event builder → Availability

    Check the organizer time zone

Open the event’s availability settings and check the Timezone selector. Set the recurring working hours in that organizer zone. The event’s time zone and the guest’s display zone serve different purposes; changing a display zone is not a substitute for correct organizer availability.

Good to know: Also check duration, breaks and date limits. A time-zone comparison alone cannot confirm an available slot.

  2. Meeting time zone converter

    Compare the actual meeting date

Enter the proposed date and local time in the starting zone, then select the guest’s named destination zone. Read both local dates and UTC offsets. A client across the date line may be on a different calendar date. If a clock change skips or repeats the starting time, choose an unambiguous time instead.

Good to know: Use Europe/London or America/New_York rather than assuming that GMT, EST or a fixed five-hour gap applies all year.

  3. Public booking page → Timezone

    Preview the guest experience

Open the public event link and inspect the Timezone field. A new booking initially uses the browser’s time zone, which the guest can change. Select the intended guest zone, inspect the calendar date and an offered slot, and compare the local time with your plan. Calenyo converts UTC slot times for the selected display zone.

Good to know: A preview can reveal incorrect settings; do not submit a test booking or assume a proposed time is available simply because the converter can display it.

  4. Share the event link

Share the link with a dated description

Copy the event’s public booking link. If you mention a suggested time in a message, include its date and named time zone, and ask the guest to verify the booking-page time zone before confirming. Recheck future dates after daylight-saving or local rule changes.

Good to know: The converter uses your browser’s time-zone data. Keep the browser updated and check future rule changes with the participants when needed.

Frequently asked questions

Does changing the guest time zone move the appointment?

The guest time-zone selector changes how available UTC slot times are displayed. Check the selected date and time before booking; the converter itself does not change an appointment.

Why is the time difference different next month?

Local daylight-saving transitions and rule changes can alter UTC offsets. Compare each actual date rather than carrying a fixed difference forward.

Does converting a time reserve it?

No. The converter does not read calendars, check availability or reserve an appointment. Use the public booking page to inspect offered slots before confirming a real booking.

You’re done when

Both people can identify the same moment.

  • The organizer’s recurring hours use the intended event time zone.
  • The comparison includes the actual date, named zones and UTC offsets.
  • The public booking page shows the intended guest time zone and a sensible local date and time.
  • Any suggested time is described with a date and zone; availability is checked separately.
